1. What is the Koblenz Summer Festival?

The Koblenz Summer Festival sees itself as a festival full of variety and entertainment and offers a very diverse program for all age groups. For this reason, the Koblenz Summer Festival is very popular with Koblenz families and visitors from Germany and abroad.

2. What is Rhine in Flames?

Rhine in Flames is a popular annual event in Germany, characterized by impressive fireworks and festive activities along the Rhine. It takes place at various locations and dates along the river. These include well-known cities such as Koblenz, Bonn, Rüdesheim and St. Goar. In Koblenz, Rhine in Flames takes place every year on the second Saturday in August.

3. When does the Koblenz Summer Festival with Rhine in Flames 2025 take place?

The Koblenz Summer Festival with Rhine in Flames 2025 will take place from August 8 to 10, 2025.

The Rhine in Flames fireworks will be launched on Saturday, August 9 at 11:00 pm.

4. What programme does the Koblenz Summer Festival offer?

The varied programme of the Koblenz Summer Festival offers a wide selection for every taste. Enjoy the soulful sounds of our singer/songwriters, dance to rousing electronic music and experience energetic rap performances. 5. What is the children's finder wristband?

As at all major events, it can happen that children lose contact with their parents in the hustle and bustle. The Koblenz Summer Festival offers child finder wristbands so that parents and children can be quickly reunited.

This is a self-adhesive and tear-resistant paper wristband on which the accompanying persons, parents or grandparents write the child's name and mobile number. With the help of this information, other visitors or the authorities can contact the child's parents immediately by telephone in order to reunite child and parents as quickly as possible.

Child Finder wristbands are available free of charge from patrols of the public order office and the police as well as at the information point on the event site.

6. Is there an awareness team on site?

The Koblenz Summer Festival is expressly intended to be a peaceful and happy festival. Discrimination and hate symbols are not welcome here and have no place! To ensure a respectful festival, an awareness team will be on site. We have summarized all information on this under Awareness.

7. How can I help to improve the waste situation on the event site?

Please use the garbage bins provided on the event site and try to reduce or avoid waste.

8. Are there barrier-free access points and facilities on the event site?

The area next to the viewing platform of the Bastion Rheinkavalier at Pegelhaus on Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer is reserved for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility with an accompanying person. We ask for your understanding that not all areas of the event can be made accessible for wheelchair users. Barrier-free sanitary facilities are available at various sanitary areas on the event grounds.

9. Do I have to pay for admission to the Koblenz Summer Festival and Rhine in Flames?

Admission to the Koblenz Summer Festival is free of charge. However, please note that certain areas of the event site have a maximum visitor capacity and a few areas have restricted access.

10. Are there first aid stations on the event grounds?

First aid stations will be set up on the grounds. In an emergency, you can reach the emergency services by calling 112.

11. Are there special offers for families during the Koblenz Summer Festival?

Yes, the Koblenz Summer Festival offers many activities especially for children and young people. On Saturday and Sunday, the popular water festival for families takes place in the area of the water playground behind the Deutsches Eck.

12. Will the event be photographed and videoed?

The event will be accompanied by photography and video for public relations purposes. By participating in the Koblenz Summer Festival, visitors agree that their images may be published on various media and output channels.

14. Where can I get a map of the grounds and a program booklet?

We will of course provide you with the site plan and the program booklet as a free download. The program booklet for the Koblenz Summer Festival is also available at the Tourist Information Office and during the event at every stand and at the information point.

15.       Wie kann ich das Veranstaltungsgelände des Koblenzer Sommerfestes und Rhein in Flammen 2025 erreichen und wo kann ich parken?

Es wird eine An- und Abreise mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr empfohlen. Darüber hinaus bringt das Park & Ride-Angebot im Rahmen des Koblenzer Sommerfestes alle Autofahrer*innen von den ausgewiesenen Parkplätzen an den Stadtgrenzen in die Koblenzer Altstadt. 

Nach Ende des Feuerwerks am Samstag wird ein großer Andrang auf die unmittelbar danach fahrenden Busse und Züge erwartet. Zur Entzerrung wurde das Programm bis 00.00 Uhr verlängert, viele Stände haben sowohl Freitag- als auch Samstagabend bis 02.00 Uhr geöffnet. Genießen Sie auch nach dem Feuerwerk die ausgelassene Stimmung auf dem Koblenzer Sommerfest und nutzen Sie das ausgedehnte Nahverkehrsangebot bis zu später Stunde!

16.   Gibt es zum Koblenzer Sommerfest und Rhein in Flammen  gastronomische Angebote auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände?

Es gibt Gastronomiestände mit einer breiten Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken auf dem gesamten Veranstaltungsgelände. An vielen Ständen finden Sie regionale Weine und lokale Angebote.

17.   Sind bestimmte Bereiche auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände gesperrt?

Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Veranstaltungsgelände dieses Jahr aufgrund von umfangreichen Bauarbeiten an der Pfaffendorfer Brücke an der Stresemannstraße endet. Die Schlossstufen sind nicht mehr Teil des Veranstaltungsgeländes und daher auch nicht zugänglich.  

Zudem sind einige Bereiche, wie die Pfaffendorferbrücke oder die Hafenmole in Ehrenbreitstein aus Sicherheitsgründen zu bestimmten Zeiten gesperrt. 

18.       Welche Einschränkungen gibt es rund um das Veranstaltungsgelände des Koblenzer Sommerfests 2025? 

Auch in diesem Jahr erwarten wir bis zu 140.000 Gäste aus aller Welt bei uns in Koblenz. Um ein Höchstmaß an Sicherheit zu garantieren, ist es notwendig für dieses Wochenende Anpassungen an der Verkehrsführung vorzunehmen.

19.   Gibt es beim Koblenzer Sommerfest und Rhein in Flammen für Bereiche auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände eine Kapazitätsgrenze?

Für das Deutsche Eck ist eine maximal zulässige Besuchergrenze festgelegt. Bei drohender Überfüllung schließt unser Sicherheitspersonal die betreffenden Eingänge. Dadurch kann es zu verlängerten Wartezeiten kommen.

20.    Wie wird die Sicherheit der Besucher*innen während des Koblenzer Sommerfests mit Rhein in Flammen gewährleistet?

Das Sicherheitskonzept des Koblenzer Sommerfests mit Rhein in Flammen wird regelmäßig mit allen beteiligten Sicherheitskräften besprochen und angepasst.

Während der Veranstaltung sorgt sich eine Vielzahl ein Einsatzkräften von Polizei, Feuerwehr, Sicherheitsdienst und weiteren Zuständigen um die Sicherheit der Besucher*innen.

22.   Wird das Veranstaltungsgelände videoüberwacht?

Ja, aus Sicherheitsgründen sind an mehreren Stellen im Veranstaltungsgelände Videokameras angebracht.
